If it doesn't you locate the executable file, right click on the executable, select properties, then the compatibility tab and read. If it still doesn't work, then it won't run on XP. It's not freeware, unfortunately. I recall it costs somewhere around $US20. But it enables programs which were originally written for a true DOS environment to run well under the NT versions of Windows. Normally, for example, dBASE for DOS would be just about unusable in a Windows 2000 or XP environment, with or without compatibility mode, but with TameDOS running in the background, it's as smooth as silk.
