Compressed Folders

I'm running Windows XP with SP3. Somewhere along the way the "Compressed Folder"
option has disappeared in both Exporer and when right clicking on the desktop. If
someone could explain how to restore this function it would be greatly appreciated.
I've tried the "regsvr32 %windir%\system32\zipfldr.dll" thing and it said it worked,
but the ability to compress a file has not returned.

It still works, but not much compression.
Create a new compressed folder. Move stuff into it. Reduce disk space about 20% more
or less.

Bruce, are you doing it the way Help & Support describes?

Thank you very much for your help. This does work, but I still don't understand why
this isn't available on the popup menu on the desktop or in Explorer. Am I missing
something, need to set something different, expecting too much?

I've never seen it in either of those places. I do have right click options to compress
to zip files because I installed Power Archiver. You would get them with other Zip
programs like WinZip. Not for the built inn Windows compression stuff.
