Strictly speaking, this post is off-topic but it's unlikely that
pasting a Word document (formatted text) into a Hotmail
message (plain text only) is possible.
Either send the Word file as an attachment or first copy-paste
it into Notepad, which will perform the conversion from
wordprocessor to text format and then copy-paste from
there into Hotmail.
Better still, consult a forum specialising in Word or Hotmail
issues: this one is Windows XP-specific.

Do it all the time. Save the doc in .rtf format. Then usually save all, copy and
paste in hotmail.
