I think my OE is corrupt l can receive some messages but cannot send them. I get
the following error message:
A time-out occurred while communicating (etc.) No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19
Can I delete OE and re-install?
If so how do I do this .
Thanks
Rogco

Why don't you start with a Google search of "Error Number: 0x800CCC19"

Your SMTP settings are incorrect. Your ISP probably updated or modified your mail
server settings to get with the age. And now, because you did not recognize or did
not receive the e-mail notifying you of such, it is broken. The first place to start
is by calling the ISP to verify your mail server settings.

Thanks - I called the ISP and everything is in order - they said the problem is with
OE
I tried switching off the Anti virus - no difference.
So still thinking remove OE and load again, but don't know how or even if this is
a good idea
Any other ideas
Thanks
Rogco

Removing and reinstalling OE isn't likely the solution. There are quite a number
of links to check out, including the mention of deleting a .dbx file, on Ask Leo.
You'll just need to do more research and reading.
