IE8 opening

When I open IE8 beta it starts in a flash but then waits for about 5 seconds before it will do anything. If I go immediately to google something I wind up in the address block (when it finally actually starts) instead of where I started (in the search block). Is this normal? Can I do anything about it.

Do you understand what beta means? Most people here avoid beta software, you should too. Remove it and go back to one that works. Better yet switch to Firefox.

The people at IE8 are using you as a test person. You download their software, and low and behold end up with junk that will not function! They in turn hope that you respond back listing the problems that you have as to make the necessary adjustments to make their product work. This goes on for sometimes for a very long time. Do yourself a favor and evade the trap!
