Turn off Animation (menus, windows, etc.)
| Intended For |
Windows XP
Windows 2000
Windows Me
Windows 98
Windows 95 |
|
Windows 95 introduced animation of some windows functions, such as minimizing and restoring Windows.
Each successive version of Windows appears to have more animated elements, each making the system appear more sluggish, among other things.
If you think it's cute, good for you.
If not, here's how to turn it off.
- Obtain TweakUI.
- Choose the General tab, and turn off any of the following options:
Window Animation
Menu Animation
Combo Box Animation (drop-down listboxes)
Listbox Animation
