Turn off the 'Type a question for help' box in Office XP

The Type a question for help box that appears on the menu bar of all Office XP applications can be removed, but it isn't obvious. You can't right-click it, and you can't drag it off the bar when customizing (or hold Alt), like you can with all other toolbar and menu items. And, there's no option in any of the dialog boxes that make mention of it. Here's how to hide it:
  • Right-click the menu bar or toolbar, and select Customize.
  • Right-click the 'Type a question for help' box, and turn off the Show Ask a Question box option.
  • Click Close. You'll have to do this in each application to get rid of them all.
